Ruben Amorim could face a selection nightmare over the festive period if he is without four key players who all featured against Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend. United made three changes to their starting line up for the 2-2 draw in North London as they extended their unbeaten run to five matches with a dramatic equaliser.

United were handed a fresh injury scare in the draw, as Benjamin Sesko suffered a knee injury that could keep him sidelined in the coming weeks. The severity of the issue is unclear, but it could seriously limit the options available to Amorim in attack.

While it is unclear how long Sesko could be out for, United are already well aware they might be without Bryan Mbeumo and Amad Diallo for as many as seven matches due to their participation in the Africa Cup of Nations next month. Noussair Mazraoui is also set to be away to represent the host nation, Morocco, in the tournament.
