Ingredients

  • 12 oz rigatoni pasta
  • 1 lb steak sirloin, ribeye, or your choice
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil for cooking steak
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

Cook the Rigatoni:

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add rigatoni and cook until al dente according to package instructions (usually about 10-12 minutes). Drain and set aside.

Prepare the Steak:

  • Pat the steak dry and season both sides generously with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak for 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare (adjust time for preferred doneness). Remove steak from skillet and let rest for 5 minutes, then slice thinly against the grain.

Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:

  • In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add butter and let it melt. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.

Combine Pasta and Sauce:

  • Add the cooked rigatoni to the skillet and toss to coat evenly with the garlic butter sauce.

Add Steak and Cheese:

  • Fold in the sliced steak and sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the pasta. Stir gently until the cheese is melted and everything is well combined.

Serve:

  • Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired. Serve immediately while hot and enjoy!
