Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz noodles lo mein, ramen, rice noodles, or spaghetti
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 lb ground beef 85% lean recommended
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1- inch piece of fresh ginger grated or minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar or honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili flakes optional
  • 2 scallions chopped (green onions)
  • 1/4 cup shredded carrots or sliced bell peppers optional
  • Sesame seeds for garnish optional

Instructions
 

  • Cook the noodles:
  • Boil noodles according to package instructions. Drain, rinse with cold water, and set aside.
  • Brown the beef:
  • In a large skillet or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add ground beef, break it apart, and cook until fully browned and slightly crispy. Drain excess fat.
  • Sauté aromatics:
  • Push the beef to one side. Add sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. Sauté for 30–45 seconds until fragrant, then mix everything together.
  • Make the sauce:
  • In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and brown sugar. Pour over the beef and mix well. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  • Combine with noodles:
  • Add the cooked noodles to the pan. Toss everything together until evenly coated and heated through. Add optional vegetables if using.
  • Garnish and serve:
  • Remove from heat, top with chopped scallions, sesame seeds, or chili flakes. Serve immediately and enjoy.
