Ingredients
  

  • 4 bone-in skin-on chicken thighs (or drumsticks)
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar light or dark
  • 4 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce low sodium preferred
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter or olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • Fresh chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

Step 1: Prep the Chicken

  • Pat the chicken thighs dry using a paper towel. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.

Step 2: Make the Sauce

  • In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar, minced garlic, soy sauce, and water. Stir until combined.

Step 3: Sear the Chicken

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter (or heat oil). Place chicken thighs skin side down and sear for 4–5 minutes until golden and crispy. Flip and sear the other side for another 3–4 minutes.

Step 4: Add the Glaze

  • Pour the brown sugar garlic mixture over the chicken. Lower the heat to medium-low and let it simmer. Turn the chicken occasionally to coat it with the thickening glaze.

Step 5 (Optional): Finish in the Oven

  • Transfer the skillet to a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) and bake for 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

Step 6: Garnish and Serve

  • Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped parsley. Serve hot with your favorite sides and enjoy the rich, sticky flavor!
